SEMWREC is a nonprofit organization incorporated under the laws of the State of Minnesota.
The purpose of this corporation is to:

• • To promote amateur wrestling in Southeast Minnesota.
  • To provide for educational and informational opportunities within the wrestling community.
  • To make contributions to organizations that are consistent with these goals.

    Some of the events in which SEMWREC is involved include:

    • The Clash - National High School Duals
    • The Minnesota Christmas Tournament
    • The Northern Quad - NCAA Duals
    • The Section 1 Jaycees Youth Tournament
    • The Clash Youth Wrestling Camp
    • Section 1 Seniors Honor Banquet
    • The Region 1 Hall of Fame Dinner
    • The SE Minnesota Border Battles with teams from Wisconsin and Iowa
    • Section 1 T-Shirt sales and the associated college scholarships
    • SEMWREC is made up of a eight person board of directors who serve three year terms. The board is augmented by hundreds of volunteers and an Advisory board made up of representatives from each wrestling community in Southeast Minnesota. Since its inception, SEMWREC has given $154,113.19 back to the wrestling community by subsidizing wrestling events and direct donations to worthy individuals and organizations who promote and support wrestling.
